My Current Deodorant Works. Why Make The Change to All Natural?

There are tons of deodorant options out there claiming to be long-lasting, prevent smells, and keep your pits dry. “No more embarrassing sweat spots!” Sounds too good to be true, right? Well, it is. Keep reading to find out the dark side of deodorant and the benefits of switching to all natural!

Toxic Ingredients to Avoid

Aluminum, the main antiperspirant used in most deodorants, clogs pores preventing sweat, which ultimately prevents toxins from leaving your body. This article states Aluminum is a metal which, like mercury, has the ability to cross the blood-brain barrier and remains in the brain for a long time. Studies have found that prolonged use of aluminum can lead to Alzheimer's. Breast cancer and other diseases can also result from clogged lymph nodes.

Alcohols strip your skin of moisture and when paired with other engineered "moisturizing" ingredients commonly found in big brand deodorants, cause a dependency on chemicals in order to keep your pits feeling “normal.”

Knowing that, we ask you - who wants clogged pores, dry skin, or to be chemically-dependent? NOT US! Which is why we’ve formulated our all-natural deodorant to be chemical-free, working together with nature to keep you smelling pleasant in a healthy way.x

Why Do I Need Deodorant?

Let us be real - your body odor is entirely dependent on you. Good hygiene, clean diet, and proper skin care is essential to creating an ideal, non-stinky microbiome in your pits. WHAT are we talking about?? When the natural bacteria on your skin metabolizes sweat, sugar, chemicals, and other unhealthy things, they leave behind stinky stuff that REEKS! Cue body odor. The imbalance then occurring between “good and bad” bacteria throws your skin into even greater imbalance! Cue all other skin problems. You see the domino effect here? The antimicrobial effect of our all natural deodorant neutralizes your pits' PH, stopping the overgrowth of the bad bacteria and their stinky residue - no clogging, no drying, and no dependency involved! Say hello to freedom, pits!

What to Expect & Some Tips For Your Natural Deodorant Detox Journey

The process of switching to natural deodorant is different for everybody. Some might experience irritation, dryness, itchiness, and other undesired symptoms while your body goes through a detox; especially if you are used to using chemical deodorants.

Wait for your pits to dry before applying after a shower.

We recommend to avoid shaving or any high-friction activities when first using natural deodorant.

Reapplication may be necessary throughout the day, especially if you are using unscented. Regardless of scent, those of us with very active sweat glands will need to reapply regularly - but we, again, must emphasize: it is healthier for your body to function properly than hold onto chemicals and toxins which negatively affect our health in the long run.

If this is your first time trying, remember it could take weeks for your body to adjust to releasing sweat and toxins from your sweat glands and lymph nodes. Some irritation and smell is to be expected while your body adjusts.

Our Chamomile & Calendula Salve can be a great aid for any discomfort.

Worth It?

Absolutely. When we consider the health risks involved, switching to natural skin care is a no-brainer. Some people may experience irritation during the detox process, however once that is through, natural deodorant is proven to be a much healthier option.
