Cory's grandma, Alva is an enourmous inspiration for MOST of what I do. Grandma Alva (Meemaw) was the epitome of maker, creator, entrepreneur and giver to the people she loved the most..her family. Alva NEVER arrived at another persons home without first making a batch of her homemade bread. Back home on her small farm she would have an unfinished quilt on the block, vegetables and fruit to pick, canning to do and prepare for her Sunday School class. She sang like Olive Oil, gave like she had all of the money in the world, and loved to fullest corners of her heart.
This lady touched my heart with her simple loving lifestyle from the moment I met her and I pray the sweet spirit of Alva continues to flow through this farm and this family for many more generations to come.
Thank you Alva for the tremendous example you were and continue to be in my life.
